Five stacked functions - three stacked styles - one thing. Storage in the basement, departure hall for cars and boats at water level, offices with observation view over the lake and land, dormitory in the gables, helicopter landing site on top. The ground floor is pragmatic, the geometry adapts to requirements - like a functional building of the 50’s. The geometry of the offices and dormitories is independent of the lower floor and is a precise rectangle. The horizontal floating roof is reminiscent of the prairie house style. The landing platform is basic, flat and heavy, archaic. By constructing the entire building out of one material - concrete - it becomes one thing.
