On the burned down sawmill, separated by the brook, a new superstructure for old-age and family apartments is to be proposed in this selective study contract. The connection to the existing buildings, the granularity of the existing village, the visual axes and the neighborhood to the cantonal road are to be given special attention in addition to an economical building. We propose two elongated buildings that support the visual axes of the neighborhood and the public spaces. All apartments are optimally sunlit and spared from street noise. Both buildings have a building depth of about 12 meters and access three apartments per access core. Around the buildings a generous public garden develops with visual protection to the first floor apartments and extensive meadows. The parking level is semi-subterranean and can thus be naturally lit and ventilated.
